A once in a life time ride to Bike Week in Bannockburn visit could easily turn into an annual obsession. This year I loitered in the friendly bar, rode the sealed roads past and to the local wineries (and other places) , and had some fantastic back-country gravel trails lead by local riders. The rugged Nevis ride from Bannockburn to Garston and then to Queenstown for a lakeside snack would have to rate as a superb day out. All types of accommodation are available so bring your partners. I‘ll be in the camp over the road from Tim Hanna’s pub. I love this part of the world and will be there if it is at all possible. See you in the garden bar,
